Sean designed and built our living room, which included a wall to wall, floor to ceiling media unit, with electric fire, large TV and units with spotlights. He created a new doorway with side panels and put in skirting, window sill and painting.
We are delighted with the end result. For us, it was Sean and Jane’s attention to detail, communication and advice that really sets them apart. Sean spoke through every detail with us and helped us with every decision. He was very patient and never rushed us.
Sean was extremely thorough when working with the fire, TV and electrician – he left nothing to chance. Sean is also meticulously tidy, which we did not expect, but really appreciated!
Overall, we are not only delighted with our new living room, we are happy to have found a high quality carpentry business which we can trust. We would not hesitate to use Sean and Jane again when we do our next project which, for us, cannot come soon enough!

Sean recently built a very large wall to wall bookcase for us, fitted a pair of new doors and put locks on an existing door. He was very conscientious throughout these projects from start to finish. We were very impressed by Sean’s attention to detail and his ability to design and build a quality bespoke bookcase including recommending what would and would not work in the space available. Sean is an excellent timekeeper, reliable and works hard to ensure that his customers are satisfied with his work. We have no hesitation at all in recommending Sean as a carpenter. He is very skilled, knowledgeable, full of design ideas and he is very pleasant to talk to.

We contacted Sean from an advert we saw in Newport. He arrived to look at the job at the time and on the day arranged and was helpful suggesting ways it could be done. The quote was reasonable and so a booking was made. Messages were sent to double check measurements etc and again Sean arrived as arranged and to time. We found Sean very friendly and approachable with a great knowledge of his craft and a professional, efficient attitude. We have now used his services for several projects. He always leaves the place meticulously clean. We would have no reservations in recommending him to anybody.

Sean has done several jobs for me, including a built in wardrobe with sliding mirror doors, a kitchen cupboard and a redesigned sitting room door. I have been really impressed. He works carefully with attention to detail and thoughtful planning. His work is accurate and he takes great care that it fits perfectly into the feel of the house. He is versatile and experienced and tackles jobs indoors and out with the same conscientious approach. He always cleans up nicely and I have really enjoyed the cups of tea and chats. A smashing chap, I thoroughly recommend his work to everyone. A real discovery!

We contacted Sean to ask if he could make bespoke stairs and hatch for our loft bedroom. It was a difficult and unusual job as the stairs had to fit between ceiling beams and led from our lounge to the upper bedroom. Sean came and viewed the area and discussed options with us, whilst taking into account our preferences. Sean was very particular in taking measurements and discussed types of various materials with us and made certain that everything was professionally done. He also gave us estimates of cost, so that we knew the bill prior to making a decision to go ahead with the work. Sean made a fantastic job of building the stairs and fitting them, whilst ensuring that we were completely happy with them. The loft hatch he made was outstanding and matched the ceiling of our lounge so that it was practically impossible to tell that it was a loft door/hatch. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of Sean’s work is superb and we were thrilled with the job he has done for us. Sean cleaned up any mess, both inside the house and on our driveway, and we are delighted with his work. We have no hesitation in recommending Sean to anyone and, apart from being an excellent craftsman, he is an exceptionally courteous and pleasant man. We will definitely get in touch with him for any jobs we need doing in the future.
